With a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University, Ms. Cohen possesses the expertise to counsel clients on a broad spectrum of technologies, encompassing electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, physics, optics, and computers. Throughout her career, she has emphasized medical devices in her practice. However, her client counseling extends beyond these areas to include everyday items such as baby products, pet products, toys, diapers, manual tools, watches, and wearable garments.
Her extensive experience includes assisting in all stages of patent prosecution. Before entering private practice, Ms. Cohen began her career as a Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO), gaining invaluable insight that she continues to leverage when successfully prosecuting patent applications before the USPTO. She is also involved in Ex Parte Appeals, including oral arguments presented before the Patent Trial Appeal Board, and Ex Parte Reexamination proceedings initiated by third-party challengers.
